Independence Day is about picnics, fireworks, beaches, BBQ and hot dogs that make this summer holiday one of our favorites. But let’s not forget that it’s a time to celebrate freedom and strength, but most of all, peace for this beautiful land.

I love this country as my own, and I am so thankful because it offers equal opportunities to everyone who truly wishes to pursue their dreams. I believe that with hard work and dedication we can achieve our goals. After all these years of searching for my American dream; I am a richer person, because I am stronger than I was yesterday. I have met great people that I never knew I will. I have traveled to places that I never imagined. I feel so blessed to be the person I am today. "God bless America; the land of the free, and home of the brave"

This year, my husband and I spent our holiday weekend relaxing at the pool, and enjoying the hot temperatures. We all know that the sun is one of the principal causes of skin aging, and in the worst case skin cancer, so I am always concerned about wearing sunscreen protection against the harmful UV rays, especially if I spend long hours under the sun.

Creo que con trabajo duro y dedicación uno puede llegar a cumplir sus metas. Después de todos estos años de búsqueda de mi sueño americano; ahora soy una persona más rica, porque soy más fuerte de lo que era ayer. He conocido a gente hermosa que nunca pensé conocer. He viajado a lugares que nunca imaginé. Me siento muy bendecida y afortunada de ser la persona que soy hoy. Gracias y que Dios bendiga a los Estados Unidos; la tierra de los libres y casa de los valientes.

Este año, mi esposo y yo pasamos nuestro fin de semana de fiesta en la piscina con mucho sol, agua y bebidas para refrescarnos del calor. Todos sabemos que el sol es una de las principales causas de envejecimiento de la piel, y en el peor de los casos de cáncer de piel, así que estoy siempre preocupada por el uso de protección solar contra los dañinos  rayos UV, especialmente si tengo que pasar muchas horas bajo el sol.

    Wow! You look so pretty in the polka dot romper!! Very retro indeed..and the red accessories make it uber chic! SPF's unfortunately dont work on me..ugh, I get tanned irrespective and get those ugly sun bumps on my arms. Hate'em. But oh well, they do go away eventually...
