Test 2015: November 2013

I wore this outfit to run some errands the other day. I usually don’t put on glasses, but honestly I wear them not only because I need them, but I get the “geek look” ;). Lately, I have loved spring colors, perhaps because the temperatures have been very nice in New York these days that I only want to wear soft colors. If you have a mint item that you wore for spring this year, you can wear it for fall as well, it’s so in right now!

Hoy me puse este atuendo para hacer algunas compras. Usualmente no usa gafas, pero honestamente me gusta usarlas no solo porque las necesito, sino también porque le dan un toque intelectual a cualquier atuendo ;). Últimamente he estado usando colores suaves, quizás porque estos días las temperaturas han estado bastante agradables en Nueva York, un clima templado pero con bastante sol hacen los días más alegres y con ganas de ponerme colores pasteles, además que el color menta está muy de moda para esta temporada.

In my opinion, there is nothing more relaxed than a pair of jeans. I remember those days when I felt so comfortable wearing them with a simple top and high heels. But that’s in the past; I actually want to dress up elegant without giving up comfort, especially if I have things to do during the day. The good news is that Blazers help me to achieve my desired look, not only because they make any outfit stand out, but they also give a balance to my figure. A good fitting blazer is such a good investment in your closet; you can wear it for many occasions other than for the office.

En mi opinión, no hay nada más confortable que salir a la calle en jeans. Recuerdo esos tiempos en los que me sentía tan cómoda usándolos con una camiseta, unos tacones y listo! Pero eso quedo en el pasado, ahora quiero lucir más elegante pero sin perder la comodidad, especialmente si tengo cosas que hacer durante el día. Lo bueno es que ahora mis mejores aliados son los blazers; no solo le dan un toque de formalidad a mis jeans, sino que también le dan balance a mi figura. Es una buena inversión para tu armario ya que lo puedes usar en muchas ocasiones.

Peplum tops are one of my favorites things to wear. They are very flattering to almost any body type because it makes the illusion of a slimmer waist. In this occasion, I paired it with white jeans and high heels to meet a friend for dinner.

Este tipo de blusas son una de mis favoritas para vestir. Son muy sentadoras para casi todo tipo de cuerpo, puesto que hace lucir una cintura más delgada. Además que son muy fáciles de combinar y para cualquier tipo de ocasión.

Espero que estén disfrutando de las últimas semanas de verano (que triste). Sin embargo, me gusta vivir en un estado donde tenemos todas las estaciones del año. I definitely love the fall feeling that a plaid shirt gives to an outfit, especially when I pair it with a leather piece. I believe leather pants are a great investment in our closets because you can dress them up and down for almost any occasion. You can go from classic to a rocker chic look just by adding accessories and the right pieces. This is what I wore to an early dinner after work. I hope you like it!

Definitivamente me encanta el aire otoñal de una camisa a cuadros, especialmente cuando la combino con una prenda de cuero. Yo creo que los pantalones de cuero son una buena inversión en el closet de una mujer porque los puedes vestir de forma elegante o casual para casi cualquier ocasión. Puedes irte desde un atuendo clásico hasta un atuendo “rockero” solo adicionando accesorios y combinándolos con las prendas correctas. Esto fue lo que me puse para una cena después del trabajo.
