Isn’t my furry friend super cute!? I met him while having my pictures taken, and I couldn’t resist to get a picture with him, his name is “Cardigan”, so now I understand why we got that connection, we both love fashion lol.

I found this vest trench at a small shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn the other day. I love to shop at random shops; I can always find great items at affordable prices, and sometimes unique things.

¿No es mi amigo super lindo !? Como amante de los perros, no me pude resistir a conseguir una foto con él cuando lo encontré mientras me tomaba las fotos. Su nombre es "Cardigan", por lo que ahora entiendo por qué tuvimos esa conexión; ambos amamos la moda jaja!

Happy first day of Spring! After a long winter, nothing better than a weekend escape to a beach destination. I prefer to travel light for short trips, because I avoid bringing a huge luggage full of clothes that I probably won’t have time to wear. I spent the afternoon at the West Village, New York (Meatpacking District) the other day, so I took the opportunity to get some pictures for the blog.….and as soon as I put my hat on, I felt very New Yorkish. At first, I was feeling a little bit shy having my pictures taken in the middle of the street, but my hat and dark sunglasses helped me a lot. Honestly, people in New York don’t care of what you are doing - I mean, seriously you can put a bag on your head without being judged or feeling different (that’s what I mostly love about NY). Girls, I am really shy… I don’t really like the idea of people staring at me, because I don’t look like a “model type” or they just don't get the idea of this " personal style blog thing". But what I have found out after over a year of blogging and building my confidence, is that if I feel comfortable about myself or with what I’m wearing, I don’t feel too shy and every thing just flows.

Me pasé la tarde en downtown Nueva York el otro día, así que tuve la oportunidad de tomar algunas fotos para el blog.... y en cuanto me puse el sombrero, me sentí muy Newyorkina. Al principio, estaba un poco tímida tomando las fotografías en medio de la calle, pero mi sombrero y gafas de sol oscuras me ayudaron mucho. Honestamente, la gente en Nueva York no se preocupa de lo que uno está haciendo - en serio me puedo poner una bolsa en la cabeza sin ser juzgada o sentirme diferente (que es lo que me encanta de Nueva York). Así que no estaba realmente timida después de algunos minutos ☺ Chicas, yo soy muy timida... realmente no me gusta la idea de que la gente me mire al tomarme las fotos porque no luzco como el "tipo de modelo" o porque algunos no entienden idea de lo que se trata un blog de estilo personal. Lo que he descubierto después de más de un año blogueando y después de construir la confianza, es que cuando me siento a gusto conmigo misma o con lo que llevo puesto, no me siento demasiado tímida y esto simplemente fluye. Espero que les guste el outfit! XO

Exciting things are coming our way for the Spring Season; one of them is being able to wear a light jacket without feeling cold. Trench coats are not only stylish, but also classic and of course the best garment to wear on a rainy day. It’s easy to style; either for a casual date or in a more dressed up way. Aren’t we counting the days for spring? I started cleaning up my closet a little bit while I dream about the sun and better temperatures.

My furry guest is also wearing a lighter coat, he was picture ready this time, and he just stay still while we were taking the pictures. Isn't he adorable?! Have a great week! XO

Emocionante saber que hay muchos motivos para esperar la primavera; uno de ellos es el poder llevar una chaqueta ligera. Las Gabardinas no son sólo elegantes sino también muy clásicas para el clima primaveral, y por supuesto la mejor prenda para llevar en un día lluvioso. Es fácil de vestirlas, ya sea para una cita casual o de una manera más vestidora. Estamos contando los días para la primavera. Empecé limpiando mi armario un poco mientras sueño con el sol y mejores temperaturas.

Mi invitado de hoy estaba listo para las fotos, se sentó bien tranquilito mientras tomábamos las fotos. Acaso no es hermoso?! Que tengan una excelente semana! XO

Those days when we are getting ready in the morning and start thinking if we need a jacket are very close. With the unexpected weather of NYC, sometimes I go by instincts – but I always make sure to get a jacket, scarf or boots to combat with the cold temperatures.

I wore this lace dress that it’s one of my favorites, because I can dress it up or down. I put on my boots and cargo jacket to get a little warmer for the chilly weather. Finally, I added my tote bag, and I just threw on some jewelry and sunglasses to obtain the casual look.

Estamos llegando a los días en que nos preparamos en la mañana y comenzamos a pensar si necesitamos una chaqueta. Con el clima tan inesperado de Nueva York, a veces voy por instinto - pero siempre me aseguro de llevar una chaqueta, bufanda o botas para combatir con el frío.

Me puse este vestido de encaje que es uno de mis favoritos, porque puedo vestirlo de forma casual o formal. Me puse botas y una chaqueta estilo "cargo" para abrigarme un poco en este clima templado. This past week, my looks have been all about wearing sneakers and drinking lots of coffee… It has not been easy to adjust to the weather and get back to my normal activities, but getting there. I wore this look during the weekend to run some errands, and I loved wearing my sneaker one more time; they are so comfortable, chic and versatile.

With the lowest temperatures at the East Coast, we are all dreaming about a warmer weather, beach hair and frozen drinks. I have to say that I was lucky to scape to a warm place this winter for the last two weeks - the freezing cold weather is too much for this tropical girl! lol.

I got this floral dress about 4 years ago, and it has been one of my favorites purchases. You know it’s a great buy when you wear an item at least twice in a year or season, and you can wear it different ways.
