Even though, I never got the same results as in the nail salon (especially with my right hand), I prefer doing my nails at home. I own a little collection of my favorite nail polishes which I use whenever I have the time, and patience to do it myself. The spring season is when I want to have a fresh manicure and pedicure with a nice color according to my mood; therefore, I made a selection of the trendy colors for this spring season (yes, can't wait for Spring) in a variety of pastels and vibrant colors of blue, pink ,violet, orange and sand. Most of the colors are from Essie which is my favorite brand; because, they are affordable, and quality is great.

A veces hacerme las uñas en casa resulta una terapia para mí, a pesar de que nunca obtengo los mismos resultados que en el salon (especialmente con mi mano derecha). Sin embargo tengo una pequeña colección de esmaltes que uso cuando tengo el tiempo y paciencia de hacerme las uñas yo misma. La temporada primaveral es cuando me encanta tener un manicure con colores pasteles de acuerdo a mi estado de ánimo. Por lo tanto, hice una selección de los colores que estarán de moda en la primavera en una variedad de tonos pasteles y vibrantes de azul, rosado, violeta, naranja y tierra. La mayoría de los esmaltes son de la marca Essie que es mi favorita, porque viene en una variedad de tonalidades y son de excelente calidad. Espero que les guste mi selección.

Hi guys! this is what I wore to an early dinner last weekend. Since the weather was nice (Not too cold), I decided to go with my faux leather jacket and a chunky sweater. I like to tuck this type of sweaters into my pants so it doesn't look bulky, and it also adds some balance to my figure. I hope you have a nice weekend. Happy Friday!

Hola chicas, esto fue lo que me puse para salir a una cena el pasado fin de semana. Como el clima estaba algo agradable (no tan frío), decidí ponerme mi chaqueta de cuero con un suéter muy abrigado. 5. Blush: this product will give a healthy and fresh look to your face. The application for a natural finish should begin with a smile in order to see the apple of your cheeks :) with the help of a brush, apply the product going up to your temples. It will also define your cheekbones and slim your face.
6. Lip-gloss: finally a lip-gloss will give you the final touch. It will also help your lips to look plump (if desired); otherwise opt for a matte lipstick.

1. El corrector es un producto de belleza que no debe faltar en el bolso de una mujer. Asegúrate de escoger el color adecuado para cubrir las ojeras o cualquier imperfección que desees. El color apropiado debe ser uno o dos tonos más claros que tu base regular.
2. Aplica delineador blanco en la línea de agua de los ojos; te dará un look despierto de forma instantánea.

Para aplicarlo correctamente empieza primeramente sonriendo para ubicar las manzanas de tus mejillas :) luego con una brocha haz movimientos hacia tus temporales, con este efecto lograrás también afinar tu rostro.
6. Finalmente un brillo labial te dará el toque final, este producto también hará que tus labios luzcan más carnosos, de otra manera opta por un lápiz labial sin brillo.

You can wear it for the office in an effortless style or in a sleek finish for special occasions. This hairstyle is very easy to achieve and only takes 5 minutes.

What you need:
1. Hair straightener or curler.
2. Bobby pins.
3. Hair elastic (preferably same color of your hair).
4. Hairspray.

1. Comb your hair as usual. You can use a flat iron to straight or curl the ends of your hair if desired.

2. Split the front part of your hair in two sections.

3. You can add some volume at the top of your head by teasing a portion of your hair with a comb if desired.

4. Tie up your hair in a low ponytail with a hair elastic.

5. Grab a small section of hair and tie it around the hair elastic. Hold the ends with bobby pins.

6. Finally, brush the ponytail. You can use some hair spray to smooth the surface.

Creemos que la simplicidad es la clave para lograr un look sentador y elegante, por lo tanto, les mostramos como realizar este peinado muy fácil y sencillo el cual consiste en una cola baja muy "chic" (tal como lo vimos en Sandra Bullock y Emma Roberts). Lo puedes llevar para la oficina en un acabado totalmente descontraído o algo más acicalado para una ocasión formal. Este peinado es muy fácil de realizar y solo toma 5 minutos.

Lo que necesitas:
1. Plancha para alaciar o encrespar.
2. Horquillas o ganchos.
3. Cinta elástica para el pelo o gomita.
4. Fijador.

1. Peina tu cabello. Puedes usar una plancha para alaciar o encrespar las puntas de tu cabello o como lo desees.

2. Divide la parte frontal de tu cabello en dos secciones del lado que lo uses.

3. Puedes agregar algo de volumen en la parte superior frontal de tu cabeza batiendo una porción de cabello con un cepillo.

4. Amarra todo tu cabello en una cola baja con una gomita preferentemente del color de tu cabello.

5. Agarra una pequeña porción de cabello de la cola baja y dale vueltas alrededor de la cinta elástica. Fija las puntas con unas horquillas (ganchos o broches para sujetar el cabello).

6. Finalmente, peina la cola de caballo. Puedes usar fijador para dejar un acabado perfecto.

The temperatures are being more pleasant these days, so I got to wear my white coat that I love. I bought this coat years ago in a coat sale in the city, and ever since I have been wearing it for every winter season. Just one complain, this coat can easily get dirty; therefore I only wear it for especial occasions. Believe it or not, I don't own many coats, even though I live in a state where the winter can be extremely cold. Anyway, I need to do some winter coat shopping and take advantage of the season sales.

Compré este abrigo años atrás en una tienda de descuentos en la ciudad y desde entonces me lo he puesto para cada invierno. Mi única queja es que se ensucia solo con mirarlo, por lo tanto solo lo uso para ocasiones especiales. Aunque no lo crean, no tengo muchos abrigos en mi armario, a pesar de vivir en un estado donde el invierno puede ser extremadamente frío. De todas maneras necesito comprar algunos abrigos de invierno y aprovechar los descuentos de la temporada.

One of the most exiting moments from the Golden Globes Awards is the Red Carpet. We can see our favorite celebrities in their most glamorous moments wearing beautiful designers gowns and looking flawless from head to toe. This year was not an exception. Like every year, we have our favorite celebrities that nailed their appearances and others that disappointed us. Designers like; Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Armani Prive among others, once again touched with their magic wands of fashion. We can see sober designs, glamorous sequins and romantic laces that took precedence at the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2014. Celebrities like Kate Beckinsale (6) looked divine in a sparkly strapless dress from Designer Zuhair Murad. Pregnant Olivia Wilde (4) looked fabulous in a green Gucci dress that complemented her eyes color. Even though, we like to see Sofia Vergara showing off her curves she looked very sober in a Zac Posen Gown in black. We would have loved to see Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lawrence in their best gowns as usual, but this time they are probably in the worst dresses list. Anyway, we can't judge a book by its cover, these beautiful and talented women have proved us why they are part of Hollywood.

Uno de los momentos más emocionantes en el evento de la entrega de premios Golden Globes es la alfombra roja. Es el instante que podemos ver a nuestas celebridades favoritas en su momento más glamoroso luciendo hermosos vestidos de prestigiosos diseñadores e impecables de pies a cabeza. Este año no ha sido la excepción. Sin embargo, como en todos los años, tenemos nuestras celebridades favoritas que le dieron en el clavo con su aparición y otras que nos decepcionaron. Diseñadores como; Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Armani Prive entre otros, una vez más le dieron el toque de elegancia usando sus varitas mágicas de moda. Podemos ver cortes muy sobrios, glamorosas lentejuelas y los románticos encajes que nuevamente tomaron presencia en la alfombra roja de los Golden Globes 2014. Celebridades como Kate Beckinsale (6) luciendo divina en un vestido brillante strapless (sin tiros) del diseñador Zuhair Murad. Olivia Wilde (4) ostentó su embarazo en un vestido Gucci en un tono verde que resaltaba el color de sus ojos. Aunque nos gusta ver a Sofia Vergara (7) luciendo sus curvas, se destacó muy sobria en un vaporoso vestido negro del diseñador Zac Posen. Nos haya gustado ver a Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts y Jennifer Lawrence en sus mejores galas como de costumbre, pero esta vez probablemente estan en la lista de las peores vestidas. De todas maneras, como dice el refrán, no podemos juzgar a un libro por la tapa, estas hermosas y talentosas mujeres nos han demostrado muy bien porque son parte de Hollywood.

"I was running "fashionably" late to work, and as soon as I stepped out the door, a big storm was brewing, and I was wearing my favorite leather boots"....I am sure many of you had this inconvenience experience on your commute to work (unless you are one of those people who always checks on the weather :). I have to be honest, I was never a fan of Rain Boots in the past, but I got to wear them years after being a victim of New York sometimes unpredictable weather changes. Nowadays, I wear them a lot even for the snow days with thick socks that keep my feet warm. I love that they come in many patterns and colors that makes my outfit look cute and fun. "Estaba saliendo corriendo para el trabajo y tras que atravieso la puerta, una fuerte tormenta acontecia y yo llevaba puestas mis botas de cuero favoritas".... Cuantas de ustedes alguna vez no han pasado por esta molesta experiencia cuando salen apuradas de ida al trabajo por la mañana (A menos que seas de esas personas que siempre chequean el clima antes de salir). Tengo que ser honesta, Yo nunca fui fanática de las botas para la lluvia en el pasado, pero me tuve que acostumbrar a usarlas años después y cansada de ser una víctima de los cambios de clima que a veces son impredecibles en Nueva York. Actualmente, las uso bastante no solo para la lluvia sino que también para la nieve con medias gruesas para que mis pies se mantengan calientes. Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post lately. I have been overwhelmed with work and the weather has not being cooperating with us here in the Northeast of the United States. The temperatures have been below zero as you might have seen in the news. We have days of snow and rain in Jersey, not sure which is the worst case but there is nothing we can do against mother nature, right? But what we can do is get ready for these unexpected changes of weather. We had a gloomy day today; it amazed me to see the frozen water at the Hudson River and the heavy fog that blocked our gorgeous New York City view. In this rainy day, I wore my favorite rain boots with thick socks that keep me warm. We are looking forward for better temperatures! Stay warm!

Hola Chic@as! Mil disculpas por la ausencia de entradas. He estado muy ocupada con el trabajo y el clima no ha cooperado con nosotros aquí en el Noreste de los Estados Unidos. Las temperaturas han estado por debajo de los cero grados como habrán visto en las noticias. Tenemos días de nieve y lluvia en Jersey, no estoy segura cuál es el peor caso, pero no hay nada que podamos hacer en contra de la madre naturaleza, verdad?. Pero lo que sí podemos hacer es prepararnos para estos inesperados cambios de clima. Hoy tuvimos un día muy gris, es sorprendente ver el agua congelada en el Rio Hudson y la neblina tan espesa que bloquea la hermosa vista de Nueva York. En este día de lluvia, me puse mis botas favoritas con unas medias gruesas que me mantienen calientita en estos días de frío que atravezamos. Esperando por mejores días!
