1.- Prepare the skin: A moisturizer is a must to have the skin hydrated, as well as the right foundation to obtain a flawless finish.

2.- Cover imperfections: Before applying the lipstick, apply concealer all over your lips in order to get a richer color, or with the help of a slim brush, conceal the edges of your lips after applying the lipstick.

3.- Use the right tools: One of the best tools for a precise application of a red lipstick is a slim brush. This will help you to draw the line of your lips with ease.

4.- Less is more: You want the lips to be the center of attention. For instance, neutral eyes work best for the day time, while dramatic cat eyes look is ideal for the night time. The application of the right amount of blush at your cheeks is very important for a natural daytime look.

5.- Carry an emergency kit with you: Take a lipstick in your purse if you are going out for long hours. A mirror is also necessary; not sexy to get lipstick on your teeth!

Hi Girls ~ This time I left my skinny jeans aside to wear my flared jeans. I love the 70's style, because I remember seeing pictures of my mom rocking this style back in the days.

I know... this is not the weather to bring open toe heels, but really wanted to show off my pedicure (joke). The truth is I can not stand this weather, and I just wanted to wear something "springy" ;)

Hola Chicas ~ Les cuento que esta vez deje mis "Skinny" jeans a un lado para ponerme mis pantalones acampanados. Me encanta el estilo de los años 70 porque recuerdo haber visto fotos de mi mamá luciendo este estilo en esta época.

Lo sé ... este no es el clima para llevar tacones de punta abierta, pero realmente quería mostrar mi pedicura (broma). La verdad es que ya no soporto este clima, y solo quería ponerme algo mas privameral! ;)

Besides floral prints and pastels, I am so excited to try these trends this season. Trends are not for everyone, but you can always wear them according to what fits you best, or why not dare to try something different. This year, I will put my skinny jeans aside, and venture with a 70's style flared jeans. Additionally, I will dare myself by wearing a horizontal stripes pencil skirt which isn't so flattering for my body type, but I am willing to take the risk. I hope you have a nice weekend!

Además de estampados florales y colores pasteles, estoy muy emocionada de probar estas tendencias para esta Primavera. Las tendencias no son para todo el mundo, pero siempre se puede llevar algo de acuerdo a lo que te siente mejor, o por qué no atrevernos a llevar algo diferente. Este año, voy a poner mis "Skinny" jeans a un lado, para tratar el estilo de los años 70 vistiendo estos pantalones vaqueros acampanados. También estoy pensando en retarme a mí misma a usar faldas de rayas horizontales que no son tan sentadoras para mi tipo de cuerpo, pero estoy dispuesta a correr el riesgo. Espero que tengan un buen fin de semana!

The new season is finally here; therefore, I want to have fun by incorporating colors in my outfits. I always like to play safe when it comes to colors, because I don't like to overwhelm an outfit. Horizontal stripes are very tricky to wear, because they make the optical illusion of a wider figure, hence I wore a white blazer on top to disguise the impression. Also, I wore my black leather pants to match with my black striped top. Finally, I added an orange bag that contrasts so well with my leopard pumps.

Happy first day of Spring! I can't wait to get some fresh flowers, a manicure in pastels, and of course drink an iced coffee!

La nueva temporada ya está aquí, por lo tanto, me quiero divertir incorporando colores en mis atuendos. Cuando se trata de colores, me gusta ir a lo seguro , ya que no me gusta sobrecargar mucho un conjunto. Las rayas horizontales no son muy sentadoras, ya que hacen la ilusión óptica de una figura con más volumen, por lo tanto, incorporé un blazer blanco para disimular esa impresión. También me puse mis pantalones negros para contrastar con mi blusa a rayas negras. Por último, una cartera de color naranja, que van muy bien con mis tacones de leopardo.

Hoy es el primer día de la Primavera! No puedo esperar para comprar flores frescas, tener una manicura en tonos pastel, y por supuesto beber un café helado!

No hay reglas para usar un lápiz labial brillante ya que lo puedes llevar para el día o para la noche. Es tan llamativo, que en cuanto te lo pongas, hará que todo tu atuendo resalte. Lo puedes usar con sombras de ojos en colores neutrales, en tonalidades marrones o grises, y dejar que los labios sean el centro de atención.

The weather has been teasing us lately, which is a good sign that Spring time is on its way (yay!). I am looking forward to put my heavy coats aside, and bring up my Sring/Summer clothes. In other words, I can't wait for a closet makeover. Meanwhile, I love wearing my nude blush coat. It has a nice pale pink shade that makes it so versatile. I like to pair it with white, red or blue colors to contrast with the pale shade. In this occassion, I wore it with my distressed jeans, a white shirt, nude heels, and indeed a red studded handbag to add a vibrant color to the outfit.

PS.- I usually have my pictures taken before or after going out, and sometimes I am in a rush. This time, I forgot to fold one of the sides of my jeans (lol)...things happen!

El tiempo ha estado impredecible últimamente, lo cual es una buena señal de que la Primavera está en camino (yupi!). Tengo muchas ganas de poner mis abrigos grandes de lado, y sacar mi ropa de Primavera/Verano. En otras palabras, hacerle un cambio de imagen a mi armario. Mientras tanto, disfruto usar mi abrigo de color rosa. Tiene un bonito tono rosa pálido que lo hace muy versátil. Me gusta combinarlo con blanco, rojo o azul para contrastar con el tono pálido. En esta ocasión, me lo puse con mis jeans desgastados, una camisa blanca, zapatos de tacón color "nude", y porsupuesto un bolso rojo para resaltar el atuendo.

PS .- Usualmente tomamos las fotos antes o después de salir, y casi siempre estoy apurada. Esta vez, me olvidé de doblar uno de los lados de mis jeans (lol) ... cosas que pasan!

While the colors of spring are starting to pop up as a reminder that a new season approaches. I wanted to get ahead by wearing this floral dress. Therefore, I decided to wear it with black pieces to stay with the winter tones, and a mint clutch to give a touch of color to the outfit.

I advise to wear prints that are not too flashy, since highly exaggerated options tend to enlarge the silhouette.

I enjoy the transition my wardrobe from season to season. It's so much fun!

Mientras que los colores de la primavera comienzan a aparecer para recordarnos que una nueva temporada se acerca. Quería adelantarme un poco usando este vestido floreado. Por lo tanto, decidí ponérmelo con piezas de color negro para quedarme con los tonos invernales, y adicionar una cartera de mano en color menta para darle el toque de color al atuendo.

Te aconsejo que uses estampados que no sean muy llamativos, ya que las opciones muy exageradas tienden a agrandar la silueta.

We have been inspired by celebrity looks from the glamorous Red Carpet at the Oscars 2014. We absolutely loved Olivia Wilde's winged eyes and nude lips. We want to show you how to get Olivia's look in 5 basic steps.

1. After preparing the skin with a moisturizer, apply Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup.

2. Create the cat eye or winged eye using Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Eyeliner in Blackest Black. This product comes with a small brush that will help you to achieve the desired look. For the application, drag the brush close to your lash line, using small and firm strokes. Create the line to be thicker at the outer corners.

3. Next, apply the mascara. The application of this product is necessary to give the winged eyes the final touch. For this step, we suggest to use Cover Girl LashBlast Volume Mascara.

4. Olivia has a very natural looking blush at her cheeks. Nars Orgasm in peachy pink with shimmer is a light peachy-pinkish color for the apples of the cheeks.

I was waiting for the SJP shoe Collection for Nordstrom, and I could not miss the opportunity to meet her. My experience began after entering to Nordstrom. She greeted me with that huge smile as seen in a SAC episode, as she walked around the store from one side to the other helping and giving advice to her customers and fans. She was wearing a black and white lace dress, and beautiful heels from her collection. You can’t tell how tiny she is until you see her in person. She wore her hair in soft waves and smoky eyes make-up that brought out her blue eyes. I was impressed with her pleasant and down-to-earth personality when she was giving tips and listening to her customers’ requests. "It was definitely a memorable experience to shop in heels "Sarah Jessica Parker".

Estába a la espera de la colección de zapatos de SJP para Nordstrom y no podía perder la oportunidad de conocerla. Mi experiencia se inició después de ingresar a la tienda Nordstrom. Ella saludaba con esa sonrisa enorme que la caracteriza, mientras caminaba por la tienda de un lado a otro para ayudar y dar consejos a cada uno de sus clientes y fans. Ella vestía un vestido de encajes en blanco y negro, y unos tacones de su colección. Llevaba el cabello suelto en ondas y un maquillaje de ojos ahumados que hacían resaltar sus ojos azules. Me quedé muy impresionada con su amable y sencilla personalidad a la hora de dar consejos y escuchar las peticiones de sus clientes de una forma muy amigable. "Hacer compras en tacones con "Sarah Jessica Parker" fué sin duda una bonita experiencia".
