Hi girls, I hope you had a great weekend. I spent a well deserved and relaxed one. The cloudy skies were not coping for a beach or pool plan, so I decided to spend the day at home catching up with the blog and listening good music.

Today’s look is very simple with a little bit of glam. Once again, I wore my favorite asymmetric skirt that I adore, and I thought that a simple tank top with a statement necklace will go perfectly. When it comes to basics I splurge wisely. A good quality tank top is always a well spent garment, because it can be worn in many ways; from a casual look with a vest on top (as seen here) to a glamorous look pairing it with statement accessories and heels. Since the tank top has a vibrant neon color, I added a nude clutch and heels to tone down the outfit a little bit, but still get a fresh and summery look.

I want to give especial thanks to my talented and extremely patient hubby (aka “hubbyographer”) who shoots my outfit pictures. I admire all the work and dedication he puts on every photo shooting. One of my latest favorite pictures is the last one on this post, where he captured a little bird flying. Isn’t that cute!? You rock mi amor!

Hola chicas, espero que hayan tenido un buen fin de semana. Yo tuve un relajado y muy merecido día de descanso. El clima nublado no cooperó para un plan de playa o piscina, así que me decidí a pasar el día en casa poniéndome al día con el blog y escuchando un poco de buena música.

El atuendo de hoy es muy simple, pero con un poco de glamour. Una vez más, me puse mi falda asimétrica que adoro, y pensé que una camiseta simple con un collar llamativo le iba perfectamente. Cuando se trata de prendas básicas, me gusta invertir un poco más. Una camiseta de buena calidad es siempre una buena inversión, ya que puede ser usada de muchas maneras; desde un look casual con un chaleco encima (como se ve aquí) hasta un atuendo glamuroso con accesorios llamativos. Debido a que la parte superior del top es de un color vibrante, decidí añadir una cartera de mano y tacones en color “nude” para bajar el tono del atuendo y así conservar un look fresco y veraniego.

Quiero dar las gracias a mi talentoso y extremadamente paciente esposo (también conocido como “hubbyographer”) que se encarga de tomar mis fotos de atuendos. One of my favorites parts about the summer weekends are the late sunsets – at the same time, it’s also very nostalgic because it works as a reminder that the weekend is almost over. This week, I will be focusing on keeping up with my regular work outs in order to go back on track with my exercise routines. It helps me a lot, because It relieves my stress significantly, as helps me to feel motivated and more confident about myself.

I wore my hair on a side braid to get a more relaxed summer look. Meanwhile, Saumya wore this casual yet put together floral outfit. She had fun pairing the floral top with shades of purple and pink, creating an outstanding color-blocking-floral look.

Hoy, estoy participando en una colaboración junto a Saumya del blog "Myriad Musings" en su serie llamada "Trend Trotting Thrusday". En esta edición te mostramos la manera de llevar una de las tendencias más codiciadas y coquetas del verano: Los estampados florales! Hemos creado dos atuendos diferentes, uno informal y otro formal para acoger esta tendencia.

Me puse este vestido largo de estampado floral para una boda de verano durante el día. Tan pronto como vi este vestido supe que podía usarlo para más de una ocasión. Normalmente evito los estampados grandes, pero el corte sexy del vestido merecía una oportunidad. Tuve que bajar el tono al atuendo con simples accesorios en tonos dorados, una cartera transparente estilo “clutch” y tacones altos color “nude”. También llevaba el pelo en una trenza de lado para obtener un look veraniego más relajado. Mientras tanto, Saumya lució este traje informal pero bien puesto a la vez. Ella se divirtió combinando una blusa floral con matices de púrpura y rosa, logrando un atuendo floral bastante colorido y divertido.

> Tone down a bright, bold and busy floral print dress by adding minimum and neutral accessories and heels.

> A large floral print can add volume to your figure. If you opt to wear a large floral pattern, look for a dress that has a flattering cut; because it helps with balancing out your silhouette, and adds "sassiness" to your look.

Saumya's DON'TS for wearing florals:

> Don't go overboard with the colors aka stick to a monochromatic or a dichromatic ( at the max ) palette. With too many colors you might end up looking like a garden.

> Don't have more than one focal point. If you are wearing separates, then choose one floral print ( either at the top or at the bottom ) as the focal point and then work the rest of your outfit around this focal point.

> Don't get intimidated. If you think this trend is too girly for your taste, follow the way of minimalism. Add a floral bag (like this one) or a floral footwear (like these), even adding a floral head piece (like this) would do the trick.

We are on the wedding season! For that reason, I want to share some make-up styles for the bride-to-be. Even if you are going to have your make-up did by a professional or you prefer to do it yourself, you must be sure to choose the style that best fits you.

These are some inspirations and characteristic of each make-up style to have an idea of what you want to go for. What type of bride are you?

Classic look
Focus the attention on your eyes.
You can wear neutral eye shadows on the eyelids, and soft brown metallic on the crease and corners to add depth without being too harsh. Open up the eyes with black or brown eyeliner all the way around. Finish it up with black mascara.

Fresh Look

This natural make-up style is ideal for a hot weather climate or a wedding on the beach.
Wear sand and brownish eye shadows with a matte finish. The eyeliner should be on the upper lash line thick enough to open up the eyes. The lower lash line must be very soft to achieve a dewy look. Use eye a soft brown eye shadow with the help of a pencil to draw a soft lower lash line for a natural finish.

Romantic Look

Find the blush that complements your skin tone. Smile when you apply the blush to find the apples of your cheeks where you naturally blush, and blend the color toward your temples for a natural finish.

Signature look

For the bride that wants a big statement lip. Wear soft eye shadows on the eyes in neutral colors. Draw the attention on the lips with a bold color in a flattering shade of red that compliments your skin tone. Remember that you have to feel comfortable wearing a bright lipstick.

Definitely, it's a "Maxi Summer" for me. I have been loving maxi skirts and dresses lately. I love the elegance that long skirts add to a simple look, and the fact that I still feel cool and chic for the summer time. I have being off-mode for the past weeks, focusing on work and wellness; as I have been trying to go back to the gym little by little. At the same time, enjoying the season as much as possible by doing fun activities outside, and of course watching the exciting World Cup Soccer games, supporting the Argentinian Team as a half-blooded Argentinian by my dad's side, and as a Latina indeed. Since the Summer time comes and goes in a blink, I want to enjoy the season to the most! This classic combo is one of my favorite looks, because I like the way the vest adds balance to my figure, and the neon tank top gives a pop color to the outfit.
