When I go shopping I have to overthink about an item before taking a decision. In order to make a successful purchase I have to think about many details, a crucial one is versatility, I have to be able to recreate many outfits with the same item. As a matter of fact, I save money, time and dressing up becomes more fun and easy. At today’s post, I show you a casual way to wear a burgundy sweater I have been wearing many times this fall. Cuando voy de "shopping" tengo que evaluar cada prenda antes de tomar la decisión de adquirirla. Scarves are one of my favorite accessories for Fall/Winter. Actually, I could wear a scarf at any season, especially in New York where the weather is unexpected. Fall is the perfect temperature to wear a scarf and a hat to stay warm, it feels cozy and also gives a pop of color to an outfit. In this occasion, I wore a tartan "AKA plaid" scarf with an all-black outfit to do some errands in the city. If you are not sure about this trend, you can give it a try by adding an accessory to your wardrobe.

Las bufandas son uno de mis accesorios favoritos para la temporada otoño/invierno. Yo creo que podría usarlas en cualquier temporada, especialmente en Nueva York donde el clima es bastante cambiante. Otoño es la temporada perfecta cuando puedo ponerme una bufanda para estar abrigada; además que le da un toque de color a cualquier atuendo. En esta ocasión, me puse una bufanda de diseño escocés con un atuendo totalmente negro para hacer algunos mandados en la ciudad. I wore this outfit to run some errands the other day. I usually don’t put on glasses, but honestly I wear them not only because I need them, but I get the “geek look” ;). Lately, I have loved spring colors, perhaps because the temperatures have been very nice in New York these days that I only want to wear soft colors. If you have a mint item that you wore for spring this year, you can wear it for fall as well, it’s so in right now!

Hoy me puse este atuendo para hacer algunas compras. Usualmente no usa gafas, pero honestamente me gusta usarlas no solo porque las necesito, sino también porque le dan un toque intelectual a cualquier atuendo ;). Últimamente he estado usando colores suaves, quizás porque estos días las temperaturas han estado bastante agradables en Nueva York, un clima templado pero con bastante sol hacen los días más alegres y con ganas de ponerme colores pasteles, además que el color menta está muy de moda para esta temporada.

In my opinion, there is nothing more relaxed than a pair of jeans. I remember those days when I felt so comfortable wearing them with a simple top and high heels. But that’s in the past; I actually want to dress up elegant without giving up comfort, especially if I have things to do during the day. The good news is that Blazers help me to achieve my desired look, not only because they make any outfit stand out, but they also give a balance to my figure. A good fitting blazer is such a good investment in your closet; you can wear it for many occasions other than for the office.

En mi opinión, no hay nada más confortable que salir a la calle en jeans. Recuerdo esos tiempos en los que me sentía tan cómoda usándolos con una camiseta, unos tacones y listo! Pero eso quedo en el pasado, ahora quiero lucir más elegante pero sin perder la comodidad, especialmente si tengo cosas que hacer durante el día. Lo bueno es que ahora mis mejores aliados son los blazers; no solo le dan un toque de formalidad a mis jeans, sino que también le dan balance a mi figura. Es una buena inversión para tu armario ya que lo puedes usar en muchas ocasiones.
